Therese Dombek is a freelance makeup artist with more than twelve years of professional experience in the fields of fashion, beauty, music and advertising. Originally from Norway, Therese has been based in London since 2002 where she has assisted top makeup artists such as Pat McGrath, Alex Box, Sharon Dowsett, Diane Kendal, Mary Greenwell, Ellis Faas and Kabuki, to name a few.
Therese's work has appeared in publications such as Elle (US, Germany, Norway), Harper's Bazaar, Tatler (UK), Vogue (UK) and Spin (US), with commercial clients including Anya Hindmarch, Garnier, L'Oréal, Bench and Fred Perry. Artists she enjoys working with on a regular basis is Robyn, Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) and Isobel Campbell.
From 2008 to 2011 Therese worked as a Beauty Editor for the Norwegian fashion magazines Costume and Woman, parallelly with taking freelance makeup bookings in London and Oslo. In January 2011 she launched the beauty blog Beauty-boks, which has received much press coverage and attention ever since.
Since July 2012 Therese has been working as the Editor of Rouge Magazine, whilst frequently accepting freelance makeup bookings. She is also experienced with being in the media, and is just as comfortable speaking in front of big crowds as she is with appearing on live TV and filming make up videos and doing interviews for online beauty channels.
